Buy valuable ancient objects of different periods and traditional fine handicraft objects of Vietnamese ethnicity.

Organize study surveys to relics site to collect written and photographic materials for the library of the World and Vietnam fine arts.

Study of take part in State level or Ministerial level scientific project on Vietnam fine arts.

Organize seminars at the Museum and take part in seminars organized by other organ.

Provide texts about Vietnam fine arts research to newspapers.

Education

Organize permanent, thematic and traveling exhibitions to introduce Vietnam fine arts to people of provinces, cities throughout the country.

Provide visit guide to visitors

Cooperate with local and foreign organizations and individuals to introduce the world and Vietnam fine arts at the Museum.

Send thematic objects to take part in exhibition overseas.

Carry out the marketing on the Museum and Vietnam fine arts.

Print books, anniversary materials… about the Museum.

Assist student from universities in their probation time.

Implement education programs, especially on aesthetic orientation for pupils.

Conservation and restoration

Provide usual inventory and scientific classification for the objects in the store

Study on conservation, restoration methods for art works of different media (lacquer, paper, silk, oil, ceramics…)

Vietnam Fine Arts Museum has established the Centre for Fine Arts Conservation to meet the Museum’s demand and help other organs, museum nationwide in this field.
